OBAMA: WANT TO REDUCE GUN VIOLENCE? STOP PARDONING GUN FELONS!

On January 5, 2016, the president held a press conference and shared the stage with survivors of gun violence and family members of the affected.

The problem is … he’s dishonest.

He stood in front of the wrong people. He pledges to help those affected by illegally possessed and used firearms, but actions speak louder than words.

If the president wanted to stand in front of a group of people so as to claim that he’s helping them, he should surround himself with and stand in front of the groups he’s really helping: gang members, felons and repeat offenders.

Dana Loesch: If the president wanted to stand in front of a group of people so as to claim that he’s helping them, he should surround himself with and stand in front of the groups he’s really helping: gang members, felons and repeat offenders.”

How do you reduce gun violence by early-releasing felons convicted of violent crimes, many of which involved illegally possessed and used guns? Yet that’s exactly what Obama did on November 1, 2015.

How do you reduce gun violence by appointing subpar judges who issue only wrist slaps for gun felonies like straw purchases? That’s exactly what Obama-nominated U.S. District judge Eleanor L. Ross did in the case of murdered police officer Kerrie Orozco, killed by a man whose girlfriend illegally bought a gun for him. The girlfriend received a slap on the wrist and 180 days of house arrest. A cop, a new mom, is dead and this straw purchaser is free.

How do you reduce gun violence when, in 2010, of the 80,000 people who were denied purchase after a background check, only 44 were prosecuted by the Obama administration?

He does influence the Department of Justice, does he not?

How do you reduce gun violence when your own vice president, Joe Biden, admits, quote: “We simply don’t have the time or manpower to prosecute everybody who lies on a form, that checks a wrong box, that answers a question inaccurately.”

The president always brags about what he can do with just a phone and a pen, but he outright refuses to use his power to clean up Chicago, stop judges from reducing sentences, to begin actual criminal justice reform. His solution is to restrict the rights of the innocent, the victims of these gang members and repeat offenders. Whose side is he on, anyway?

He doesn’t want to prosecute. He’d rather empower the gang bangers, the felons, the repeat offenders. Empower THEM and emotionally blackmail the innocent as “uncaring” if they disagree with his policy.
